  • Diagnosis and treatment for Depression and Anxiety disorders, including: Major Depressive Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Bipolar Affective Disorder.

  • Stressful life changes such as coping with school or work-related problems, loss of a loved one, or relationship issues can negatively impact a person’s mental health and quality of life.

    Waterline Psychology provides evidence-based interventions to support people to manage the impacts of stressful life events.

  • Living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is challenging. Those affected may experience distress, fear, disabling exhaustion and loneliness.

    Waterline Psychology provides psychoeducation and evidence-based interventions to support people living with OCD and related disorders to manage symptoms and improve their quality of life.

  • Providing evidence-based interventions for PTSD, complex trauma, attachment injuries, and other trauma related issues.

  • Support for disordered eating, and eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, and Binge Eating Disorder. Support will be provided in collaboration with your GP and other members of your care team.

  • Personality Disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder, can affect many areas of a person’s life including their relationships with self and other, and their ability to remain engaged in work or school. Therefore, it is important for people to be provided with a safe space in which to explore ways to manage the impact of living with a personality disorder.

  • Compassionate, person-centred support for people experiencing grief related to the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or the impact of a chronic health issue or life changing event.

  • School refusal can occur at any time throughout a child’s school life. There are many reasons why a child engages in school refusal. Reasons can include avoidance of anxiety provoking stimuli and situations such as difficulties with peers, separation anxiety, or may be due to rewards at home such as gaming.

    Waterline Psychology provides support for children and adolescents who are engaging or at risk of engaging in school refusal behaviours. Support often involves a collaborative approach with parents/carers and the wider school team.

  • Cognitive Assessments assist in providing a clearer picture of your child’s cognitive functioning. Assessments are often conducted due to learning difficulties and other developmental concerns.

Waterline Psychology provides assessment and evidence-based Intervention for psychological disorders, trauma, grief and loss, and relationship difficulties.

Waterline Psychology also provides cognitive assessments for children aged 6yrs to 16yrs.

Currently all psychological services are being provided via secure Telehealth Videoconferencing. This allows you to access support from the comfort of your own home. Face to Face sessions in a consulting room will be available in the near future.

Cognitive assessments can be carried out in your home however will require a private space that is free from noise.
